BLIZZARD
THERE IS A BLIZZARD OUTSIDE!
But first, have some pictures from Cambridge:
Our Christmas decorations, when it was snowing a couple of weeks ago:

My room with lights .. and the quilt Mom finished at Thanksgiving, from squares that my grandmother pieced together decades ago, backed with feed sack that my great-grandmother collected. Is awesome quilt. And there is also a BINGLEY, who I am separated from for the next few weeks!

Here's Boston from the ... 7th? 8th? ... floor of the library at UMB:

But the important thing is, THERE IS A BLIZZARD OUTSIDE!

Birdies in Mom's front yard!

Snow strata against Mom's back porch screen. :D

A cardinal in a tree!

Mom's frong porch, looking very festive.

Sally, on her way to fetch sleds, looking druidic with her cloak and stick!

Not rain, nor sleet, nor freezing snow ... that poor woman, out delivering mail today. But she delivered my card from Sarah & Kevin, hurray!

My poor car. It's even more buried now!

Sally and Bowie, watching the truck that got stuck in snow (while following a snowmobile ..) at the end of the street.

Me in the snow! This is after me and Sally had a snow fight.

The Severn Run, down the street from Mom's house! The same guy kept getting stuck on the road while we were wandering around down here.

The other side of the creek.

Closer-up on the crossing branches.

The twisty road by the creek has a slush river running next to it.

Sally and Bowie by the creek.

Sally in her TURTLE HAT

We walked down to the remains of the old overpass where the train tracks used to cross the creek.

The overpass ruins! They had grafitti of a heart with wings for as long as I can remember, you can kind of still see it right smack in the middle of the picture.

AHHH I'm up to my waist in snow!

So's Sally!

Or possibly not.
And then we climbed up to the top of the overpass.

This is going on the cover of my next murder mystery.

And then we walked home.

And made snow cream!

Mom's tree, all lit up in the snow!
And now we are watching Doctor Who on BBCA. :D
