Yeah, it's similar to Rohan from LOTR right down to the horses and stuff! I don't think the turf houses would be so bad. They're a fire hazard though.

As the saying goes, Iceland is green and Greenland is icy. *g* I can't get used to the lack of trees though. Visibility here is just amazing.
